Josh Trank is known for his direction of the unusual super powered movie, “Chronicle”. He is filming the reboot of the “Fantastic Four” for Fox. He will now direct one of the standalone Star Wars films. It is unknown the focus of this movie.
Disney has previously announced they would put out at least 3 standalone films that will come out every other year on the off years from the new trilogy. Gareth Edwards, “Godzilla”, will direct another one of these standalone movies. They have not announced the director of the third standalone movie. (Variety)
