Taking movies and adapting them to television series is very popular right now. Yesterday, we just discussed a Buckaroo Banzai television series is in development.
The first Tremors movie was a quirky cult classic. Kevin Bacon thought Tremors might end his acting career but it just enhanced it. I would definitely watch a Tremors miniseries.
