The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension is one of my favorite Cult Classic movies. It is wild and strange but in the KOOLest 80s fashion. Now it might turn into a new television series.
Buckaroo is a man of many talents. He is a physicist, neurosurgeon, test pilot, and rock musician. Banzai can do it all with the help of his friends.
After Kevin Smith directed an episode of The Flash, it opened several new doors including one at MGM (you wouldn’t expected he needed new doors open). MGM is pleased with their success of their Fargo television series. Smith is in ongoing discussions with MGM to bring Buckaroo to the television realm.
Smith has a game plan for the first two seasons. The first season will be based on the original movie, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension. The second season would be based on the concept for the Buckaroo sequel announced in the movie credits, which never happened, Buckaroo Banzai Against the World Crime League.
