The Lethal Weapon movie series focused on the relationship between the younger, depressed, and unstable Martin Riggs and the about to retired officer, Roger Murtaugh. They develop a fun and unique friendship as they workout their personal and family issues as an odd couple set of partners.
The television series plans on the keeping the essence of the characters. They have cast Damon Wayans as Roger Murtaugh. In the movies, Danny Glover portrayed Roger Murtaugh.
