According to Entertainment Week, two well actresses to their cast. Lupita Nyong’o won an Oscar this year for her role in the movie “12 Years a Slave”. Gwendoline Christie is known for her role as a female knight on HBO’s Game of Thrones. We haven’t learned anything about the characters these ladies with portray in the Galaxy far, far away.
Both of these ladies are high caliber actresses. Both of them have a wonderful presence on the screen. This is really good news for Star Wars fans.
When the first round of cast member announcements happened last month, we noticed the lack of female characters. The announcement of Christie and Nyong’o will help bring some needed female characters (and potential role models) to the Star Wars Franchise.
I can’t wait to see these movies.
