In a statement released from the Actors Screen Guild today we learned that Mark Blum, a veteran stage actor, has passed away due to complications from Covid-19. Mark Blum was 69 years old and other than being known as a great stage actor, is known for films including “Desperately Seeking Susan”, “Worth Winning” (does anyone else remember this movie other than me?) and “Crocodile Dundee.”
He most recently appeared in supporting TV roles on the HBO series “Succession,” the Netflix drama “You” and Amazon’s “Mozart in the Jungle.”
He was a staple in the New York theater community, frequently appearing on Broadway. Blum was a regular player with Playwrights Horizons, an off-Broadway theater in New York.
