According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios have separated from their parent company Marvel Entertainment. Marvel Studios merges into the big umbrella of The Walt Disney Studios. It joins Lucasfilms and Pixar.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will now report directly to Disney Studio chief Alan Horn. Previously Feige reported to Marvel Entertainment CEO Isaac “Ike” Perlmutter.
Rumors state that Feige was unhappy with Perlmutter. Perlmutter has a reputation for micromanaging. Perlmutter will continue to be head over Marvel Comics, television studios, and animation.
