According to Deadline, Marvel Entertainment has created a new series Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger Series will air on for the cable network Freeform. The Freeform network is formerly known as ABC Family.
Former Disney Channel star Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph have been cast as the series stars. Olivia Holt will portray Tandy Bowen aka Dagger. Aubrey Joseph will be Tyrone Johnson aka Cloak. Dagger can throw light daggers at her enemies. Cloak has the ability to engulf others in his vast cloak of darkness. They need each other to meet the other’s need of light and darkness.
Cloak and Dagger have always been a sad but interesting and powerful duo. In the comics, they have stood against thugs and drug dealers. They received their powers from a experimental drug from a street dealer. Now they have mutated into their light and dark superheroes.
I remember their introduction in Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #64. The story grabbed me. These characters were hurt and scared. They wanted vengeance. Spider-Man was there to help this young duo.
I cannot wait to see how they do this series.
