According to tennantnews.blogspot, Netflix’s next Marvel series is getting a name change. It was originally “Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones”. The series has lost the A.K.A. from the name.
I don’t think this is a big deal. I know the name was suppose to hint how Jessica is a former superhero. Her very identity was ripped away by the Purple Man A.K.A. Kilgrave. But the A.K.A. might lead to confusion for viewers who aren’t fans of the “Marvel Max” Alias series.
It really doesn’t matter what you call this series. If you have “Marvel’s” in front of it, people will tune in and give it a chance. “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” is less of a mouthful at the water cooler. This will be a hard series that will not be kid friendly, no matter the name.
