Thank you for being a friend… is nearly a synonym now affiliated with living your best life in your golden years.
And a show featuring four strong, single women in their mid-50s to older stages of life with the power of friendship was so refreshing in the late 80s and early 90s, paving the way to be inspirational but still fresh to this day, a timeless classic. Yes, I am talking about the cheesecake-loving legends that are “The Golden Girls.” Thanks to Hulu, I have watched this show at least six times in its completion, it is one of my comfort shows, these ladies welcome me into their home and give me advice or at least companionship. And tickling my funny bone every time.
It is so difficult to pick a top episode, but I knew I wanted to start the new year with them. No matter learning about Silcily, New York, the Deep South, or St. Olaf, I want to embrace you in 2024 with new possibilities, memories, and lots of sweets, just like these women!

- Flu Attack- Fighting with your besties while all of you are as sick as heck! Comedy gold!

- The Actor– A lot of episodes where they fight over the same man are a riot!

- Grab that Dough- I would watch this show! GRAB THAT DOUGH!
- My Brother, My Father,
- The Artist,
- Yes, We Have No Havanas,
- Valentine’s Day- This show I feel started the snippets based on theme or flashback episodes. This one is one of my favorites!
- Live Under the Big Dock- Dick Van Dyke as a clown lawyer dating Dorothy?! YES PLEASE!
- Henny Penny- Straight No Chaser- The outfits and dances in this alone are iconic. THE SKY IS FALLING!
- The Monkey Show,
- Big Daddy’s Little Lady,
- The Mangiacavallo Curse Makes a Lousy Wedding Present- Socks falling down, Rose hot and heavy, and locking your roommate in the bathroom. A normal ‘Golden Girls’ wedding!
