Neill Blomkamp, director of the sci fi District 9, has signed on to direct a new Alien movie. He confirmed his role as director on his Instagram feed.
According to Cinemablend, the new Alien movie will take place shortly after Prometheus 2. Blomkamp is hoping to include Sigourney Weaver in this movie. It is unknown if she would revive her role as Ripely or how that would work.
