“Spending a Sunday night working on the comics (the real never ending battle), and came across this. Definitely one of the highlights of my time at DC, but it gets me thinking, has it really been almost ten years since then, and maybe its time to do it one better.” ~Dan Didio
The above image and quote came from a Facebook post by none other than Dan Didio, DC Comics’ Co-Publisher. This fuels the vast rumors and speculation about the New 52 (the current DC Universe after the last reboot) getting their own Crisis. Rarely are these type of hints used just to tease the fans. It appears the New 52 will be rocked by some sort of Crisis event. Maybe called Crisis on 52 Earths.
Many, including our own Bryan Crockett, are hoping that this will usher in the new era of the old era (Pre-New 52) comics. DC has been introducing core characters of the Original Crisis on Infinite Earth (1985) such as the Monitor and the Anti-Monitor. The 30th anniversary of the original Crisis will be next year.
I, myself, would love to see them bring major changes to their existing universe. I am reading very fun DC comics currently because I really don’t appreciate many of the changes. What I would really like to see is a reboot to the Silver Age. Now that would be fun!
