According to I09, Director Bryan Singer already has the go ahead for another X-Men movie and we are still two months away from X-Men: Days of Future Past. Just like X-Men: First Class was set in the 60s and X-Men: Days of Future Past is set in the 70s, the next X-Men movie will also be a period piece. The next X-Men movie is current being referred to as X-Men Apocalypse and it will be set in Big 80s.
This news has me excited for multiple reasons. The Fox movie studios must really like what they have seen from X-Men: Days of Future Past. This is very promising. I have had an excited but skeptical outlook for X-Men: Days of Future Past because X-3 ruined the Dark Phoenix Saga . Days of Future Past is one of those stories that they need to do well or they will lose any hope of fans following them to another movie.
I am also excited because X-Men Apocalypse is set in the 80s. The 80s are by far my favorite decade. Most of us love the decade where we were teenagers and this holds true with me. I can’t wait to see if they bring in some of the very wild X-Men costumes from the 80s comic books. I am such an 80s geek!
I am very excited about the title of the next X-Men movie. I love the villain Apocalypse. He is a big bad. He is more intense and evil than Magneto ever thought about. It will take a unified X-Men to defeat the ancient and vile Apocalypse. It is be interesting he brings in the horsemen and Mr. Sinister.
I think this announcement is wonderful news. It has me excited for multiple geeky reasons. It shows confidence in this upcoming movie.
