Comic artists have historically created an art page for every page in a comic. Comic companies had the original art that translated into comics. Sometimes, this art was thrown away but some of them were kept. With modern technology, that isn’t needs like it used to be.
1984’s Marvel’s Secret Wars #8 had the origin of Spider-Man’s Black Suit. The suit went on to go from Spider-Man to become Venom. Mike Zeck’s original art for the new Spidey Suit sold at auction for $3.36 Million.
I have always wanted an original page but yeah I won’t be buying this one.
A page from Marvel Comic’s “Secret Wars No. 8” depicting Spider-Man’s first appearance in his black symbiote suit was auctioned for over $3 million 🕷 https://t.co/7VJavyUUuC pic.twitter.com/DSs6y83Ab7
