According to Variety, the 12th Doctor, Peter Capaldi, will return for next season. Next year will be Season 10 of the new Doctor Who. Steven Moffat stated that “Peter Capaldi is going nowhere.” (Variety)
Jenna Coleman will leave the series by the end of Season 9. Rumors are that Clara’s end will shock us all. I am not sure what can shock us about the end of a companion’s run but we will see.
