My friends over at the Graphic Classroom have created a petition on Change.org to convince D.C. Comics that they NEED a top quality Wonder Woman movie. You can pull up the petition and sign it HERE if you are interested. I have already signed it.
Below is the petition’s statement:
We would like you to create a Wonder Woman movie, one in which the Amazon Princess’s complex nature of strong warrior and peaceful ambassador are explored. Our children need an iconic female superhero in their lives. Our girls and our boys need to see the depth of women and the struggles that Wonder Woman endures. We understand this has been considered. We wish to show our support for a Wonder Woman movie soon.
I wrote an article a week or two ago about a Wonder Woman movie. In the article, I gave my preferences and thoughts on how to make a KOOL Wonder Woman movie. If they just make a Wonder Woman movie that demonstrates how great a character she is, then I would be pleased.
Here on Geeky KOOL, we usually avoid discussing internet petitions. Many of the Petitions on Change.org and similar sites are of a political nature. Some of the staff have signed different petitions there but we don’t promote them here. We have made a pledge to keep Geeky KOOL as apolitical as possible. On a slight occasion we will make an exception, if we believe it has a high impact on Geekdom but we strive to give a balanced view.
Since this petition is not a political petition and involves the first female Super Hero (important part of Geekdom), we made the decision to spotlight this petition. If you have no desire sign the petition, then simply ignore this post and move on and we won’t bother you with it again. If you would like to sign it, then go to the link above.
Stay Geeky my Friends!
