The sixth and final Resident Evil came out last year. It finished the franchise starring Milla Jovovich. It grossed around 1.2 Billion for the 6 movie series which is the most of any video game adaption series.
According to Variety, Resident Evil is about to get a new series with six more episodes. It is unknown if the new series will be a full reboot or take place in the previous movie universe. There have been no details released. Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson are not expected to return to the series.
