Richard Kiel passed away today. There isn’t many details other than the 74 year old actor had been sick and in the hospital. He stood at 7’2″ tall and was a mammoth on the screen.
Kiel had numerous movie and television credits to his name. But he is most know for icon James Bond Villain, Jaws. Jaws was in both “The Spy Who Loved Me” and “Moonraker. Jaws has always been my favorite Bond Villain.
I know plenty of people who hate Roger Moore’s Bond. I personally love him. He was not as good a Sean Connery but I will sit and watch a Moore Bond film and be completely entertained. It was comical time for James Bond and it is enjoyable for me. The character of Jaws fit perfectly in the crazy Roger Moore Bond films. I almost find myself rooting for Jaws at times.
Richard Kiel, you will be missed.
