Death Race 2000 is a crazy B-movie from 1975. It starred David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone (Prior to Rocky). Filmmaker Roger Corman created this crazy movie about souped up cars killing people in a race across the country.
Death Race 2000 is where we get jokes about running over people for points. Even people who have never seen the movie often use the references from this movie. This B-movie has perpetuated our culture over the 40 years.
Roger Corman will recreate this cult classic film with Death Race 2050. G.J. Echternkamp will direct while Corman will produce.
The film will once again focus on a character named Frankenstein. The character is played by Manu Bennett. Best know for his role of Azog in the Hobbit Trilogy and Deathstoke on Arrow, Bennett takes on this new anti-hero.
This movie will be release direct to DVD and on demand.
