There is a hot rumor going around the MCU. The rumor states that Ant-Man will shrink form the big screen to the small screen. It states that Ant-Man and Wasp will continue their adventures but on Disney+ instead of on the movie screen.
We already know that several Avengers are heading to Disney+. Hawkeye, Vision, Wanda, Bucky, and Falcon will all be in series on Disney+. They may still make appearances in the future MCU movies.
If Ant-Man and Wasp moves to Disney+, there will be opportunity to explore more of their characters and some of the side characters from the movies. We could expect 6-9 hours of content on Disney+ instead of 2 hours in the theater.
The rumor states this would make room for other characters to come to the big screen. According to the rumor, Marvel is trying to to bring a lot more diversity to the big screen.
At this point, it is only a rumor. We might still get Ant-Man 3 in theaters. But if we don’t, it make a lot of sense to put them on Disney+
