Russell T Davies is a Welsh screenwriter and television producer. He helped bring back Doctor Who after a sixteen-year lay off. Davies was the show runner for Doctor who from 2005 to 2010. Davies will take back over as show runner with the departure of show runner Chris Chibnall and 13th Doctor, Jodie Whittaker. This is eleven years after he left the series the first time.
Davies will take over for the Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary year in 2023 with no plans of leaving after.
Welcome back Russell T Davies. I hope his direction will bring Doctor Who back to the well written and fun series that it was.
