We are only 6 months away from a sequel to the original Star Wars Trilogy. There is a ton of anticipation for the new movies. You have to expect we will soon start to see more an trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. What I didn’t expect was a huge change in Star Wars mythology from the Marvel Star Wars Comic series.
Issue number 6 of Marvel’s Star Wars has revealed that Han Solo is not single. He is married. Sana Solo has been looking for her scoundrel of a husband and it appears that she has finally caught up with him and his new girl, Princess Leia. It is unknown what Sana is hoping for with her husband but it appears they are all in for more then they expected.
Marvel is owned by Disney just like Star Wars. After the Star Wars comic rights were given back to Marvel from Dark Horse, we heard that all of the comics will be in true continuity. It would be official unlike the Star Wars Expanded Universe writings and comics.
I am surprised and a bit shocked by this reveal. It doesn’t surprise me a guy like Han might have a wife out there somewhere. The smuggler’s life isn’t well equipped for happy marriages. The more shocking part is this reveal at this time and this close to the movie coming out.
This reveal also messes with the unofficial Star Wars Expanded Universe. I know Disney didn’t want to make the Expanded Universe official cannon. I can fully understand why. But the Expanded Universe did keep the flames and love for Star Wars burning during the dark time where there were no hope for a Star Wars movie.
All I can say is WOW! I didn’t see that coming. Did Han have a bad feeling about this?
