On his death bed, King Arthur had Excalibur thrown back into Dozmary Pool in Cornish Lake to the Lady of the Lake. Arthur was fatally wounded in the Battle of Camlann. King Arthur had his companion Bedivere toss it into the water where the mysterious arm of the Lady of the Lake rose up and grabbed the famed blade taking it back to the depths of the Cornish Lake.
Seven year old Matilda Jones was on holiday at the famed pool Cornish Lake. She had just heard the story of the Lady of the Lake from her father Paul Jones. While wading about waist deep into the lake, she discovered this 4 foot sword on the bottom of the lake. When she told her father that she found a sword, no one initially believed her. But then Matilda pulled this sword out of the lake.
Matilda carried the impressive sword out of the lake. At this time, Matilda hasn’t claimed the thrown of England for her own but we can certainly make a case for it.
