A Long Time Ago, like two hours, in a panel room far far away (from our booth at Oz-Con)… Queue John Williams music. The Ghostbusters of Missouri hosted a panel called Star Wars Therapy.
It was the first I came into a panel room to find the chairs in a circle, similarly to a group therapy session. The panel started with an explanation about this panel. Last year there was a Star Wars Trivia panel, led by Shpoo and AJ, which ended up discussing different aspects and opinions about Star Wars.
We were reminded that everyone is entitled to their opinions about Star Wars. Different people love the different set of movies for a variety of reason. We were directed numerous times that this is a safe space to share our opinion.
We saw and heard from several people on their different views and thoughts about parts of the Star Wars films. Opinions were strong and usually everyone attempted to respect each other’s view.
It was a ton of fun. I share some of my strong opinions. I wanted to say so much more at times than I actually did. It felt like we should meet again next week for another session.
