There has been a lot of talk about a new Evil Dead/Army of Darkness movie or even a possible reboot. Now Starz is walking hand in hand (or hand in chainsaw) with Sam Raimi to bring an ongoing Evil Dead series to fruition. Ash vs. Evil Dead will premiere on Starz in 2015 and will have 10 half hour episodes.
Starz has scored huge points with fans of the series by getting Bruce Campbell to pick back up the role of Ash. Campbell is a fan favorite actor and is most known for his over the top portrayal of Ash. Bruce Campbell’s army of fanatical followers will turn out in droves to watch this series.
I can’t wait to Campbell’s witty one liners like “This is My Boomstick” and “Give me some sugar, baby!”
