I had an amazing opportunity at Planet Comicon Kansas City. I interviewed founder Sandy King and writer Cullen Bunn for Storm King Comics. Storm King Comics is an eleven-year-old comic company that focuses mostly on horror comics.
Sandy King is the founder of Storm King Comics and Storm King Productions. She has 40 years of experience in the Hollywood entertainment industry. She has produced a ton of movies in Hollywood including THEY LIVE and John Carpenter’s Vampires. She produced critically acclaimed documentaries and public service announcements for Hungry Awareness. She has directed and produced John Carpenter’s Live Retrospective. She is a person of many talents and accomplishments. Last year was the 10th anniversary of Storm King Productions.
Cullen Bunn is an acclaimed comic book writer. He writes a ton of comics each month. He is best known for writing The Sixth Gun, The Damned, Harrow County, Rogue Planet, Venom, The Death of the Venomverse, Deadpool, Darth Maul, Uncanny X-Men, Magneto, and X-Men: Blue. And that is just a few.
I so appreciate Sandy and Cullen’s time to talk and discuss comics. Always one of my favorite subjects. Sandy was a pure pleasure to talk to. I wanted to ask her so many questions about all of her experiences but we were on a short time frame. We kept the conversation mostly about this great comic company, Storm King Comics, which isn’t as well known yet.
