The best news for fans is that Takashi Yamazaki is confirmed to return as the director, writer, and visual effects supervisor, ensuring the sequel maintains the grounded, dramatic, and visually spectacular vision that made the first film such a global success.
While plot specifics are still under wraps, the recurrence of the “Minus” in the title suggests a continuation of the distinct, post-war thematic style. The sequel is expected to directly build on the emotional story established in Minus One.
