Robbie Amell starred in the the CW’s science fiction series, The Tomorrow People. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie has now joined the cast of CW’s new Television series, The Flash. He will have the role of Ronnie Raymond. He will first appear in the third episode.
In DC Comics, Ronnie Raymond becomes Firestorm, The Nuclear Man. Actually he is half of the character of Firestorm. He is bounded with another person to become the super hero Firestorm. Orginally he was bounded with Nobel Prize-winning physicist Martin Stein. There is no information if Ronnie on the TV series will become Firestorm or not and if he will be bound with another person or not.
His character will be a maintenance work at S.T.A.R. Labs. (Didn’t I just see this in Amazing Spider-Man 2?) He will be involved with the particle accelerator that gives Barry Allen his super speed.
This is an interesting announcement. I think Robbie Amell is a fine selection. But the interesting part is the announcement of Ronnie Raymond. I always loved this character when he combined with Doctor Stein.
