According to Comicbook.com, CW’s The Flash has cast the villain Tokamak, aka Henry Hewitt. In the comics, Tokamak is a nuclear powered nemesis to Firestorm. He has extreme power inside his containment suit. He is most known for creating Firehawk, a superheroine with similar powers to Firestorm.
The CW describes the character as “a charming, but cocky scientist who was affected by the same Particle Accelerator explosion that created the Flash. When Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) recruits him to join the team at S.T.A.R. Labs, Hewitt jumps at the opportunity to fulfill his destiny as a powerful meta-human.” (Comicbook.com)
Barnes is best known for his roles on television series like The Unit and Hemlock Grove. He got his start on a Canadian television show, Squawk Box.
According to TV Line, The Flash added another Speedster hero. Along with Jay Garrick (Flash of Earth Two), Jesse Quick joins the cast. Newcomer Violett Beane will portray Jesse Chambers, aka Jesse Quick.
Jesse is the daughter of Golden Age heroes Liberty Bell and Johnny Quick. She has her father’s super speed and mother’s super strength. She is one of my favorite characters.
Tokamak is an interesting character. With Tokamak as a villain, I would speculate we will see Firestorm show up.
Jesse Quick is one of my favorite characters. I love her Golden Age parents. I cannot wait to see the TV version of Jesse Quick.
