Today, Friday March 21, 2025, is the first day of Planet Comicon Kansas City. I am covering the convention for Geeky KOOL. One of the benefits of being a member of the press is early access to the convention floor. I looked around the floor quickly, and circled back to watch the hordes being released onto the convention floor. I was unable to get a shot of them being released.
I made my way back around this huge convention floor. I walked through the Celebrity signing area. The lines were already huge after only 20 minutes of the show being open. The area of David Tennant was the largest section I have ever seen at Planet Comicon Kansas City.
I walked through artist alley and found the great writer Cullen Bunn. It is always such a pleasure to see him. I also met the amazing artist, Adam Hughes who has incredible covers.
I sat down to write this article but realized I didn’t have time. I had a Time Lord to see. David Tennant’s panel was the first panel of the weekend in the Grand Ballroom (largest panel room – used for Celebrities). I made like the Tenth Doctor and had to “run”. I made it in time to stand in a mammoth line but eventually got in for that panel.
Afterwards I stated for the Alex Kingston panel. I will post separately on both panels.
Stay Geeky!
