I just admit, although I love dresses and purses, cute decors, necklaces, and playing with my hair, I never got into some aspects of being a ‘girly-girl:’ no make-up, piercings, heels, painting my nails, tanning… I wanted someone who would like me for my natural looks. Yet, I still want to take care of myself and once I got lupus, my skin, which I always got compliments on, I knew would become affected due to extreme sensitivity to the sun. So, I got into skincare from Mary Kay. However, although it works and likes it, it is pricey.
My beautiful friend Cat introduced me to facial masks. I was always worried to using them before due to many health and beauty products using citrus, which I am highly allergic to (closes my throat up.) But Cat was very resourceful and considerate, finding some wonderful ones for me, us having a blast with them at our sleepover. Now, I use them a few times a week, loving finding new scents to try. They help not only my skin health but make me feel refreshed and cheer me up when I am down. They also make great gifts. 😉
I recommend giving them a try. Mad Beauty has a lot of fantastic options. Even us nerds need to take care of ourselves and enjoy being fabulous with delightful smells while doing it. I am here for you.
Click on the pictures below to find the link to my favorite set on Amazon I get every 2-3 months!
I also get so many fun face masks from Walmart, BoxLunch, and Hot Topic.
