There is nothing like a Star Trek Convention to bring out your inner Geek (or even outer Geek). Springfield, MO will be hosting the Trek Con Springfield on Friday May 9th through Sunday May 11th. This three day convention will be their inaugural year. You can get in the first year of this Trek Convention that is bound to be huge.
Even with it being the first year they will have a bunch of Trek actors and guests. Check out their full guest list here. The convention will have all of the fun of amu Trek Convention. Dig out your captain’s uniform, Klingon Attire, and Vulcan ears but there will be Cos Play and a Costume Contest. You can watch your the stars and ask them questions in break out panels and large group panel. You can even pay a little extra to spend sometime with the stars during a meet and greet.
If you enjoy live performances, then Trek Con Springfield will be the place for you. There will be several live performances by Harvest Moon Productions. You can see their take on the Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: Next Generation, and some how they are even sneaking in an interpretation of Firefly.
