Greetings fellow demigods!
I never hide my deep love and fangirling for anything by the brilliant Rick Riordan, everyone’s literary uncle. ^_^ Greek culture has always been an interest of mine, resounding in my mind, their tales weaving into my memory. So, reading a sarcastic, fun, modern tone stack of stories with some of the most fantastic characters I can befriend. Nothing beats diving into a world Rick Riordan has crafted, I can devour them like cheese!
So, when I read that not one, but TWO new books involving adventures with these epic characters were being released next year, I was happier than Percy getting a dozen blue cupcakes! So, let’s grab Riptide and slice through the knowledge we currently have, with the keen, wise eyes of Athena and Annabeth.
“The Sun and The Star: A Nico DiAngelo Adventure:”
Nico DiAngelo was a preteen character, meek and nerdy, who went through a total goth transformation as he grew and his powers became known to him, climbing him to become a fan favorite. Then, it was revealed a fellow camper, his total opposite in each way, the precious, bright healing son of Apollo, Will, had always had feelings for him…well, the Internet exploded! SANGELO!!! =D They are too incredible together, so it is not surprising that they are getting their own book together! =D I am so elated! <3 They are going to go to the depths of Tartarus to save an old friend and with some of the sensations Nico sensed and powers Will discovered he had, I am eager to see these two tender-hearted warriors support each other like kicking butt in their whimsical styles!
The release date will be March 2023!
Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Chalice of the Gods:
Percy Jackson has been through endless, the world almost ending adventures, since he was 12 years old. He is about to graduate and go to New Rome college, but it looks like the gods need him…again! This story will bring our beloved, classic, original trio: Percy Jackson himself, Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, and Grover, Percy’s satyr guardian and bestie, all to get back Zeus’ cupbearer’s chalice before it gets in the wrong hands. It is promised to be a hilarious quest! I cannot wait to get back to the roots that started it all!
The release date is September 2023!
