My friend, Amber Carr from Oz-Con, recently announced that her sister is opening up a board game cafe in Springfield, MO. Jess and Sarah Hamlet are opening Village Meeple Board Game Cafe on June 17, 2023. You can check out their Facebook page for their new store here. Their tag line is “Come meet your new favorite game.”
Admission to get in will be $5 per person. One can play as many games and for as long as they like for that $5. The cafe will open with around 200 games that can be checked out.
The cafe will also sell refreshments. There will be prepacked snacks. Soft drinks and tea can be purchased. For gamers over 21, there will be beer, wine, and seltzers for sale.
