Today was a very big day in the life of billionaire Richard Branson, as his Space plane Virgin Galactic had a successful launch, boost phase, and reentry as Unity 22(22nd flight of the Unity Space Plane) reached an altitude of 283,000 feet and touched the edge of space, making the crew and passengers Astronauts. This was a major accomplishment as Branson and fellow billionaires Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk are attempting to “commercialize” and make travel into outer space both more affordable, and available, for private citizens. The flight went off without any issues, and the Virgin Galactic touched down successfully to the delight of the ground controllers.
