I had the honor and opportunity to moderate the awesome Web Comics panel at VisionCon. This panel had two awesome web comic panelists: Nate Howard and Anthony Hunter. Nate write, draws, creates the weekly comic Potbelly Mammoth. Anthony is the creator, writer, and artist on the throw back comic, Silent Sillies. These two gentleman made my life as a moderator a piece of cake.
Nate and Anthony both took time to discuss their comics and what motivated them. Potbelly Mammoth is loosely based on Nate’s life with his wife Chanoa and his best friend Swadley. Anthony loves the throw back cartoons and wanted to create a webcomic like watching an old silent cartoon.
Anthony and Nate discussed their process to create their comics. They showed the different platforms that they each use.
This was a must see presentation for anyone interested in the process of web comics.
Check out Silent Sillies and Potbelly Mammoth. I enjoy both of these comics.
