Willow was an amazing movie from 1988. Directed by Ron Howard. Lucas Films brought this movie to life. Warwick Davis starred as Willow. The support cast contained Val Kilmer, Joanne Whalley, and Jean Marsh.
There has been discussions about a sequel for numerous years. A rumor came out last year earlier in the year that Willow could be headed to Disney+ as a ongoing series. The rumor has proven true. Willow is coming to Disney+ as a series starring Warwick Davis.
The Willow series will be set decades after the events of the first movie. We will be introduced to new characters and new fantasy creatures. Hopefully some old friends will return along with Willow.
Warwick Davis will reprise his role in the series, and Jon M. Chu is set to direct the first episode and executive produce. Jonathan Kasdan (Solo), who wrote the pilot, and Wendy Mericle (Arrow) will serve as showrunners. (THR)
