With the popularity of The Witcher, Netflix has announced an anime movie, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. This anime movie will be released Summer of 2020, which might help our wait for Season 2 set to be released sometime next year.

The rumors are true, a new Witcher story is in the works! The anime film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, will take us back to a new threat facing the Continent. Brought to you by the Witcher team @LHissrich and @BeauDeMayo, and Studio Mir the studio behind Legend of Korra.

This series will be animated by Studio Mir. Studio Mir is known for thie animation of The Legend of Korra and Voltron: Legendary Defender (Seen on Netflix). Their anime animation style and details are outstanding.
It has not been reported who will voice the characters nor a general plot of this movie. We will see if Henry Cavill is the voice of Geralt of Rivia. Even if he isn’t, if this series is well written and has the animation style Studio Mir is known for, then this will be an awesome addition to The Witcher story.
