According to an interview with MTV, Jennifer Lawrence will leave the X-Men movie Franchise after X-Men: Apocalypse. She will reprise her role as Mystique one last time. X-Men: Apocalypse will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
Lawrence breathed fresh life into the character of Mystique. In the original X-Men movie series, Mystique was played by Rebecca Romijn. The original Mystique was not much more than a Henchman for Magneto. Lawrence’s Mystique was a much more complex of a character.
